I have no idea whether this post mortem photograph is actually Russian or not (although it does look like it might well be) – originally found on Pinterest, I traced it back through ever more dubious Tumblr-style sites but have been unable to discover any background information.

It reminds me of a family crest. The pointed decoration towards the bottom, the wreaths of flowers decorating the sides. Although the middle is blurry the sides and bottom almost look like a crest. Also I love to read Siberian’s responses. I dated a Russian man and you can hear your accent in the way you type so I smile everytime I read one of your responses
