Boy in chair, post mortem

skull illusion procrastinating film student post mortem photograph boy chair

I found this photo on the blog of a very lucky film student who was hoping they’d managed to buy a genuine post mortem photograph – I’m pretty sure they have.

You can see where the print was cut – rather roughly – and glued onto the card background. There is also an unfortunate mark that looks like it was made by a drinks glass being put down on it. Sadly there are no background details.

  1. Melanie says:

Is that a hidden mother in the fireplace behind and to the left?

  2. Damama says:

Awwww, bless him with his little scuffed boots :(

  3. Violet says:

Oh, I see what you mean, Melanie! I don’t personally think so, but obviously I could be wrong. There doesn’t really seem to be a need for one, as he’s propped up by the chair.

  4. Dixie says:

I wonder why they would hang a cloth over the fireplace, if not to hide something?

  5. Amy says:

Presumably the cloth was hung up to give a nicer background than a dark, dirty fireplace. It doesn’t appear there’s anyone reaching round to support him.
