A somewhat sombre family portrait of two living sisters with a third dead one!
Inscription on the left reads ‘Mary A. Clegg’ – presumably the photographer.
This photo is very strange. It almost seems as though the woman in the middle is not dead, and yet it looks to me that the two women on either side are holding her up. What a strange picture to our modern eyes.
Oddly the one on the right looks like she’s got a shaved head with bubbly fringe! Lol!
I shall assume the middle one is dead either that or she looks very stiff in the smile x

The woman in the middle is their mother. I have seen this on another site and that is the info that was given
